The Richmond Caspers Hot Dogs location at 2530 Macdonald Ave. has reopened as Corky's Famous Hot Dogs after Courtland "Corky" Boozé bought the restaurant from Ron Dorian and Paul Rustigan. Boozé, a former Richmond councilmember, had been a customer for 25 years and used the restaurant as an informal meeting spot during his time in office.

The Richmond outpost opened in 1947 and had been the oldest remaining Caspers in the region before the sale. Boozé says the restaurant is keeping the same meat, produce, buns, employees, hand grated cheese, house made chili, and SPAR supplied hot dogs, while the remaining Caspers locations in Oakland, Dublin, Hayward, and Pleasant Hill are not currently for sale.
