U.S. beats Bosnia and Herzegovina in Santa Clara World Cup match
The U.S. men's national team beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 2 to 0 at Levi's Stadium and advanced to the Round of 16. The July 1 match was the last of six World Cup games hosted in Santa Clara.
The U.S. men's national team closed Santa Clara's World Cup slate with a 2 to 0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 1 at Levi's Stadium. Folarin Balogun scored before halftime, then was sent off with a red card, and Malik Tillman added a free kick goal in the 81st minute as the Americans finished the match with 10 players.
Levi's Stadium hosted six tournament matches over three weeks, each drawing more than 68,000 fans. The U.S. next plays Belgium in Seattle on Monday, and Balogun will miss that match because of the red card.
