Neighborhood Test Kitchen to take over International Smoke space
Chef Michael Mina is bringing a rotating restaurant test space to the former International Smoke address at 301 Mission St. Concepts are expected to change every four to six months.

Neighborhood Test Kitchen will use the former barbecue restaurant space as a room for short residencies rather than one fixed restaurant. The first menu is expected to follow an American brasserie style from Mina Group's culinary team.
Later runs may feature guest chefs and collaborators as Mina Group tests ideas that could turn into permanent restaurants. The plan brings back a model Mina used more than a decade ago and gives downtown San Francisco diners a changing restaurant lineup at a prominent SoMa address.
